Fear Mongering BS!
Artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and other “cancer causing ingredients” in food and beverages.
Studies (I’ll link at the bottom) have other factors which determine the need for further evaluation or have been performed on freaking rodents not humans! Now unless we’ve evolved from rodents, we can’t rely on these studies.
When fear mongering articles come about read the fine print and the entire study plus multiple related claims, before feeding into BS spewed on the internet. Make sure you claim check for yourself before being so gullible. Chances are if these claims are made with zero citations, it’s complete trash!
Carrageenan is a great example of misinformation/misunderstanding. This substance is found in red seaweed and acts as a gelling agent. The studies show that is toxic when reaching a certain level of PH which is actually physically impossible for the human gut to reach. If you did not know this you would simply say “OMG carrageenan is so toxic to consume” because this person shared a study about it but that is not the case when you dig deeper! This is the so called “cancer causing” ingredient in coffee creamer that brought everyone so much fear in recent years.
Another great example is how fear mongering influencers always like to say “these ingredients are banned in European countries” BUT in reality the ingredients simply have different names in other countries.
Now if you want to avoid certain products and have no problem doing so be my guest! But just so you know, if you happen to enjoy these items in moderation vs. not at all; get this…

You’re still going to die! Possibly with cancer, possibly without! There are so many factors that can lead to cancer cells in the body which have very little to do with a pinch of “artificial ingredients” in your overall diet. Genetics, environmental factors, health conditions, etc: play a drastic role in cancer cells mutating. At the end of the day there are chemicals in everything we consume, EVEN water! And heres the thing, you aren’t downing gallons of coffee creamer at every meal. But if you or a loved one does, I recommend seeking help at coffee creamers anonymous. Lmao.
Of course it’s important to focus on receiving nutrient dense foods in your overall nutrition while sprinkling in what I like to call soul foods, because at the end of the day it’s the dosage that makes the poison!
Just remember, don’t let anyone compare you to a damn rat! I promise you are much more than that!😂
