I’m so sick of the lies spread by diet culture!

Fat makes you fat. Oh just kidding, actually carbs make you fat… here eat an entire pack of bacon and cheese for a month and we promise you’ll lose weight “cause like ketosis burns fat dude.” No Kyle, the only way to actually determine if you’re in ketosis is by testing your blood or urine which I highly doubt your ass does!
The only way and I promise you, the ONLY way you can lose weight is by being in a calorie deficit(taking in less calories than maintenance) and the only way you gain weight is a surplus of calories(Unless of course you have a medical condition). Law of thermodynamics bitches! Look it up!😂

Listen I’d be lying if I said I didn’t try basically every diet out there! The thing is, 95 percent of diets fail! This doesn’t mean diets don’t work completely. You’ll probably lose weight but chances are you’ll gain it back once your diet “ends.” After all, that is exactly what diet culture is designed to do! Try this, lose the weight fast! But what happens after this “diet?” Gain weight, try another diet, repeat! Oh and don’t get me started on the way they feed off you’re insecurities! Disgusting!
There is not a “diet” out there that preaches healthy habits to utilize for sustainability.


Not to mention the number one factor of developing an eating disorder is a result of DIETING! Due to the horrible mindset around food. The guilt, the shame, demonizing etc.(This will be the subject of my next post)

So the next time you consider starting a new diet I highly recommend you take a basic nutrition course and/or meet with a nutritionist or dietitian because they are far more qualified than these fitness influencers or supplement “boss babes!”
